Incognito - Multi-Room Entertainment

Multi-Room Entertainment

In today’s digital world, being able to access audio and video entertainment through one centralised home system offers huge advantages. Multi-room systems also avoid the ugly wires and clutter resulting from having hi-fi and video source equipment in each room.

To-date multi-room systems have had a reputation for being expensive, difficult and costly to install. To make matters worse, they’re often difficult to upgrade. Until now… Cambridge Audio, the pioneer of innovative, cost effective high performance audio systems, has developed Incognito.

What is Incognito?

Incognito is the ultimate discreet and easily installed way to share the benefits of your hi-fi and video across your home at a surprisingly affordable price.

How does it work?

Incognito is easily installed in new-build properties or retro-fitted

Incognito is the most flexible multi-room system on the market. Locate your hub and source equipment in a cupboard for ultimate discretion.

Alternatively, the Incognito hub is so small it can be installed behind your existing hi-fi enabling you to retain a traditional hi-fi or home cinema system in your main room

Just one run of standard Cat-5 or Cat-6 cable distributes high quality audio and power to each room. Meanwhile video is distributed by a single run of standard co-axial cable

Optional easy to fit wall keypads (connected to passive in-ceiling speakers) are available in both European and North American styles

Source components can be updated over time without changing your Incognito system

Incognito is designed around the user…

  • A cost-effective, modular based system compatible with virtually every brand and type of hi-fi source - CD/DVD players, music servers, tuners etc

  • Incognito is totally scalable. Normally fitted as a hub-based system for music across the home, Incognito is also available ‘à la carte’ and can be as simple as installing a pair of active in-ceiling speakers featuring an IR receiver

  • Up to six pieces of hi-fi or video equipment can be connected to an Incognito audio or video hub for ultimate flexibility

  • Unlike some multi-room entertainment systems, Incognito features hi-fi grade components for a more accurate sound

  • A local input function enables connection of additional components in each zone e.g. a DVD player or games console located in that room
