740 Stereo

Cambridge Audio's Azur 740 stereo series offers a taste of real hi-fi at a remarkable price.

The 740A premium integrated amplifier uses technology from both the top-of-the-range 840A powerhouse and evolving the topology from the highly regarded 640A for a truly awesome sound.



The 740C CD player uses the same ATF™ upsampling technology present in the range topping 840C barnstormer. This is married to dual Wolfson WM8740 24-bit DACs in dual differential mode. The 740C incorporates the same 32-bit DSP as the 840C and upsamples to full 24-bit 384kHz. The implementation of the incredible ATF system almost completely eradicates digital jitter.


The 740A won a prestigious Diapason d'or (France) award while the 740C picked up a Hi-Fi Choice Gold award. Both products received 'Best Buys' in Hi-Fi Choice and when reviewed together were rated at 92%!
