We’ve had a couple of tasters from the former Crystal Castles frontwoman’s debut solo album, with ‘Baby Teeth’ and ‘Fair Game’ featuring her trademark vocals against a dark electro-pop background. If they’re anything to go by, PREY//IV should be a powerful comeback.

Where Myth Becomes Memory – 4th February
Sometimes you just need to listen to a record that feels like you’ve been punched in the face, which is where progressive metalcore outfit Rolo Tomassi come in. Judging by what we’ve heard so far in singles ‘Drip’ and ‘Cloaked’, the band’s sixth album is going to be another blissfully chaotic masterpiece packed full of emotion and fury.

Pompeii – 4th February
Lockdown was good for some things, one of which was the creation of Welsh musician, Cate Le Bon’s new album. The downtime allowed her space to be as adventurous as she pleases with her songwriting, not allowing boundaries to limit her and giving herself full artistic freedom. We have no doubt that the outcome will be something very special indeed.

The Mercury Prize-winning trio return with their fourth album – and first in four years – in The Dream. Expect more occasionally inscrutable lyrics and catchy riffs.

Not content with having released two albums in 2019, Big Thief’s fifth album will be a sprawling double LP. Said to explore all the distinct elements of Big Thief's artistry, you can see why it needs to be 20 tracks long.

Never Let Me Go – 25th March
It’s been a long eight-year wait since Placebo’s last album, but the goth-rock band are back with 13 tracks that are guaranteed to weave through you like an electric current. Tackling subjects such as climate change and inequality, it’s certainly going to be a record that demands your attention.
Wet Leg
Wet Leg – 8th April
Recently landing the number two spot on the BBC Sound of 2022, Wet Leg have had an extraordinary rise to fame since the release of infectious indie anthem, ‘Chaise Longue’. Their debut album, due this spring, is expected to be full of fun, scuzzy songs about adulthood that’ll be soundtracking every festival this year.

Alpha Games – 29th April
British indie rock staples for over 15 years – even when incorporating electronic and house elements – return with their sixth album this spring. If first taste ‘Traps’ is any indication, we’re in for a raucous treat.
Jack White
Fear of the Dawn – 8th April Entering Heaven Alive – 22nd July
As if running his own Third Man Records label and stores wasn’t enough, The White Stripes frontman returns with not one, but two albums in 2022. We don’t know much about either of them, but the tracklist for the first, Fear of the Dawn, shows Q-Tip feature, and first single ‘Taking Me Back’ comes in both regular and ‘Gently’ versions. Colour us intrigued.
