I have enjoyed the clear, neutral Melomania sound, and the wide, solid soundstage, and bought at least one of each version. This is a significant improvement in all respects.
I haven’t had noise cancelling earbuds before, so don’t have a direct comparison. But the reduction in interference when the cancelling kicks in is dramatic, and is significantly better than my (much more expensive) Sennheiser over-ears.
Other reviewers have had problems with getting a good fit, and so did I. I went straight for the foams for a better seal. But they are a lot softer and springier than any I’ve met: you need to compress and insert them very quickly, and hold them in whilst twisting them into place to get a secure seal (still not as good as the firmer ones on the Melomania 1+, but good enough.
Others have noted they are a bit fiddly to get out of the case. True, but you get used to that quickly enough.
The touch controls apart from volume are also fiddly. I tend to use the app.
Good value at full price, I think. So very difficult to beat at £120.
Sorry, obvs title. They sound great, the 3 sound modes need a kick tho. ‘Transparent’ is not a thing, it adds zero to your experience relative to safety.
If the controls were a little more malleable then you wouldn’t need the ‘transparent’ option and you could quickly stop playback by a tap. As it is at the moment, I see, to be tapping all over my ear trying to stop/start playback
Firstly the good news, they really do sound good.
There are a few connection problems, sometimes they connect in the closed case, very annoying. The lastest problem is one of the buds isn't connecting properly and there is a screeching sound through the left earbud but no music. Multiple resets appear to have both working but not sure the volume is right in the left earbud .
Dear David,
Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you’re impressed with the sound quality of your earbuds. However, we're truly sorry to learn that you’ve been experiencing connection issues and sound problems with the left earbud. This is certainly not how the product should be performing.
Based on your description of the issue, it seems likely that the earbuds may be faulty. We would recommend reaching out to one of our support agents via the Contact Us page on our website. They’ll be able to guide you through further troubleshooting steps and, if necessary, arrange for a replacement to ensure you can enjoy your earbuds without any interruptions.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we apologise for any frustration this has caused. We’re here to help get things resolved for you as quickly as possible.
Best regards,
