This soundbase absolutely sounds much better than my old soundbar/sub combo. A minor gripe is the poor plastic lugs that break too easily when unmounting the protective front grille. Two lugs were already broken when I opened the box, another two broke when testing out the mounts. Another issue is the bluetooth reception that occasionally gets dropped, and not just skips, when listening to music on my Android phone which I found very annoying. A major gripe in addition, is that despite setting up HDMI-arc/Receiver mode on sound settings with my Samsung 2020 model TV, signal gets dropped and switches over to TV Speaker mode that creates two sources of sound. Another sound set-up had to be made. Overall sound quality negates whatever gripes I have with this TV5 v2 Soundbase. If this unit is still available in the market, buyers may need to know about my issues, but just the same, I am quite satisfied with this.

Got a new tv that had no bass output. This solved my sound quality issue, and works fine with hdmi arc if not a little slow to respond on a vizio smart cast tv. The blue LED stopped working in less than a week however, not only giving me no indication when bluetooth is on but changing the colors of the other inputs too! Worried that if something as small as an LED isn't made with quality to last that the rest of the unit won't either.

I bought this to improve the sound quality of the SONY television. Easy to install and there is a noticeable improvement. I have tried the optical and HDMI connections but my ear cannot detect any difference. Likewise I find when switchimng the mode on the TV5 ther eis little change in the sound. Bluetooth works really well and the sound when playing music is excellent. The only downside is the TV5 does not switch off when the TV is off which means the light stays on - not good in the night when trying to sleep!

Bought it via richer sounds Leeds overt the Xmas period, first one stopped working after 3 days, richer sounds replaced, second one the front fascia wouldn't sit flush, had that swapped with the previous unit and now every so often turn the TV of, the soundbase goes of..and back , connected with hdmim arc
