The bar is completely free thanks to the award winning Hofmeister, the gig will be filmed and top UK music media and labels will be there. And as huge fans of supporting live music, Hofmeister have donated a limited edition Gretsch guitar for the winner! What’s not to like?

Entries will be judged by music journalist Kate Solomon, Cambridge Audio and PR agency Starscream Communications. The top five will then go through to a public vote….

How do I enter?

Once you’ve recorded a video of your lockdown session, send it to [email protected] and Tweet or Instagram the video tagging #CambridgeAudioLockdownSessions and @CambridgeAudio.

When is the deadline?

You need to upload and send your track by May 14, 5pm GMT.

How does the voting process work?

Five finalists are picked by the judging panel and announced on May 18.

The five finalists will then go to a public vote with the public urged to vote by liking the relevant video on the Cambridge Audio Twitter page or Instagram at @CambridgeAudio.

The most likes by May 22 will win. The winner will be announced on May 25.

All five finalists win a pair of Melomania 1 headphones. 

What is Melomania Live?

Melomania Live is the live music space at Cambridge Audio HQ, 10 minutes walk from London Bridge station. It has played host to many bands over the years and the most recent performance was a special, warm up tour gig for Rodrigo y Gabriela.

When does the winning band or artist play?

October 2020

Who can enter?

Any artist or band that are based in the UK and unsigned.

Terms and conditions

You must be a UK resident to enter a competition.

Date of performance may be changed due to social distancing advice, if need be. 

Entries must be received within the competition period indicated in the competition information. Any entries received before or after this period will not be entered.

All entrants must be over 18 years of age at the point of entry.

Employees (including family members) of Cambridge Audio, (or its group Companies) cannot enter the competition.

Travel, accommodation, expenses, charges and travel insurance are not included.

In the event of any dispute regarding these terms, conduct, results or any fault, misunderstanding, mistake or dispute concerning the operation of a competition, including the correctness or acceptability of any answers given by winners, or the operation of any technical/communications system, our decision shall be final.
