MINX S325
Whether you’re streaming the latest blockbuster, or watching your prized Blu-ray collection, you know that on-screen action only really comes to life with immersive sound. That’s why we’ve put this 5.1 system together featuring 5 Min22 compact speakers with an X301 subwoofer and all the cable you need. Minx’s compact form, and high-quality performance, means you can enjoy the magic of the movies without your AV set-up dominating the room.
Speaker Stands sold separately.
Because Minx Min22 speakers are small, relative to their capabilities, and use innovative driver tech you’ve some flexibility on where exactly to place them. Typically, 2 Min22s either side of the screen, with another below for dialogue, with 2 at the back of the room for atmosphere and the X301 subwoofer discreetly adding a satisfying 300W rumble to soundtracks.
Apart from the big screen, you’ll also need an AV amp to bring the cinema home. Our Minx S325 5.1 home cinema package is a tidy upgrade from the bulky low-spec speakers often supplied with AV amps. You can wall-mount the smaller Min22 speakers or accessorise with our optional bespoke stands and brackets. Our powerful X301 wants for nothing.
With 300 Watts up its sleeve, our X301 subwoofer’s dimensions belie its power. It’s small enough to hide in a corner, but attractive enough to leave on display. The 8” (200mm) powered driver, adds full, rich and detailed lower frequency sound to the higher and mid frequencies delivered by the 5 Min22 speakers.
Minx X301 has intuitive controls for volume, phase and crossover frequency, to enable you to fine-tune the performance with your Min22 speakers. X301’s auto-on mode powers it up when an AV signal’s detected – so there’s no forgetting to switch it on, nor worry about turning it off when the film’s finished.
Minx Min22 speakers have hi-fi quality connectors (binding posts) with banana plugs for quick installation of the 25m of cable included in this package. The speakers’ screw fittings accept the supplied flush wall brackets, or any of our 3 optional accessories: table stand, adjustable wall bracket and floorstands. In this set-up, X301 comes with a 5m sub cable.
Understated design ensures that no matter your interior decor style, Minx 325 5.1 speakers are always at home. Finished in high-gloss black or artic white, these compact speakers are beautifully subtle and unobtrusive.
Choose black to blend into the shadows, or white to compliment a modern minimalist living room.
The Minx S325 system is one of the best options for a desktop computer surround system. The speakers are small and take little desk space, and the wide-field BMR drivers mean they don’t have to point at your ears for good sound. The sub is small enough to hide nearby, and is overkill at short desktop ranges.
This system is passive (except the subwoofer), so finding an amp for computer use was very difficult as all audio manufacturers have abandoned multi-channel analog input receivers, and there are very few desktop-friendly low power multi-channel amps.
Best solution is to buy a low-end receiver. It’s much more cost effective, includes room correction and home theater filters, and has other perks like streaming and Airplay.
Dear Valued CustomerThanks for sharing your setup! It's great to hear that you've found a practical solution with the Minx S325 system and a low-end receiver.
The compact design wide-field drivers and added features like room correction make it a smart choice for a desktop surround system.
Keep enjoying your audio experience!Kind Regards
