Cambridge Audio is now proudly the audio partner of legendary independent music retailer Rough Trade.

The sound systems in Rough Tradeā€™s London (East and West) and Bristol stores have been refreshed with Cambridge Audio components from the Edge, Evo, CX, AX and SX ranges, with Alva series turntables and phono stages. Bespoke systems have been built by Cambridge Audio in two brand new stores in Liverpool and Berlin.

Alva ST turntables are exclusively used in Rough Trade listening stations, alongside Alva Duo phono preamps.

ā€œCambridge Audio is all about music ā€“ we exist to connect people to the power of music. Itā€™s clear that Rough Trade shares that passion, and together we aim to help listeners to find and enjoy artists and songs that can change their lives,ā€ explains Nick Udall, Cambridge Audioā€™s Head of Digital and Customer Experience.

Rough Trade has been an independent purveyor of great music since 1976, currently operating six stores in the UK: three across London, as well as locations in Nottingham, Bristol and Liverpool. A US store can be found at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, while Germany is now served by the newly opened Rough Trade Berlin. The company sells worldwide at www.roughtrade.com

ā€œCambridge Audio is the perfect partner, offering unparalleled audio quality for music fans across all genres,ā€ says Sam Allison, Head of Events and Partnerships at Rough Trade. ā€œWith the brandā€™s premier sound engineering, Rough Trade can now provide the best immersive sonic experience for customers in-store. Together, we aim to set the standard for excellence in retail audio.ā€

Cambridge is unlike any other audio company ā€“ not just acoustic engineers, but bona fide music lovers. Everything that Cambridge does is Made By Music, emotionally connecting listeners to the songs they love. Each Cambridge product is designed, tuned and engineered at the companyā€™s own London-based music venue and HQ, Melomania.

The latest major addition to the Cambridge portfolio is the M100 true wireless headphones with Lossless Audio support. This new model also features a limited run of M100 How High Edition headphones in partnership with The Charlatansā€™ frontman Tim Burgess and fashion brand Hikerdelic. Sales of every How High Edition contribute to the Help Us Help Bands fund, financially assisting musicians in need.
