EVO ONE
All-in-One Wireless Streaming Speaker
All-in-ones combine an amplifier, source and speakers in one box. The most convenient way to experience Hi-Fi sound at home.
An amplifier is essential to any hi-fi system. Put simply, it makes small signals bigger. Chosen well, it will serve you for many years to come.
Streaming Amplifiers combine powerful amplification with our award-winning StreamMagic technology in one box. The hi-fi sound quality of separates in one stylish, convenient package.
A streamer brings the convenience of streamed music to your hi-fi system. Brilliant for discovering the next big thing, or simply enjoying old favourites.
If you own a CD collection you’re going to need something to play it on. Our range of CD players are designed to extract every last detail from your discs.
Digital audio is brilliant, but it needs to be analogue audio before you can hear it. A Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) lets all kind of systems sound better than before.
Many turntables need a bit of extra help to amplify the tiny signals output by vinyl recordings. A good phono-preamplifier can reveal previously unheard detail.
A Stereo Receiver is an amplifier with built in radio capabilities - usually AM/FM, although some also have DAB. Place it at the heart of any two-channel system.
For many, the analogue sound remains as compelling as ever, and our turntables make it as easy as possible to enjoy your record collection.
Engineered to deliver. Advanced features, bold designs and the best sound money can buy.
At the heart of the CXC is our legendary ‘S3’ servo design. Designed for efficient recovery of CD digital data with state of the art error correction it’s been engineered to play audio CDs brilliantly. Multi-purpose drives simply can’t compete. The design was actually developed for our flagship 851C CD player, giving minimal disc jitter and excellent error correction for the most precise and accurate playback of CDs.
With no digital to analogue conversion in the CXC, when used in conjunction with the CX Series amplifiers it outputs the CD signal in digital form, relying on the high quality Wolfson DAC in the CXA amplifier for the crucial digital to analogue conversion stages. The result is layers of detail and clarity from your disc collection that you’ve never heard before.
Electronics (and therefore sound quality) are particularly susceptible to vibration; that’s why we’ve used a low resonance, acoustically-dampened metal chassis to eliminate as much vibration as possible; ensuring that the highest sound quality is extracted from your music.

This new CXC CD Trasport was a great piece of unit that Cambridge Audio did a great job. The only downside is the remote control. They should make a separate remote for CXC that can do all the functions not to make as one for all CX Series. Not all buyers will buy the whole set of CX Series. Cambridge you should also consider some customers having their system and only need to upgrade or to buy a new CD Player. I hope you will still create a separate remote for CXC. But over all it was a great system it was really noticed the difference when I play my old CD’s. Those who buy this try to have a separate or independent DAC, you will more notice the big difference. My set up is hooked up SMSL SU-9 DAC using XLR connecting to my ROTEL preamp plus Audioquest Cinnamon coaxial digital cable.
Dear Customer
Thank you for such a positive and thoughtful review of the CXC CD Player.

J'étais heureux de m'offrir ce lecteur CD ! MAIS il saute des informations de façon aléatoire et mon technicien ne trouve pas d'où cela peut venir :-( Du coup, malgré le son très bon, je le revends !

Well have it since beginning of last year.
Decided to replace it with something better (have the CXA81 as well).
Made a list with potential replacements and first i could test home was Primare CD35.
The story will probably end here and why someone would ask ? The 2800 euro cd player /transport was NOT better than my CXC v2 with Singxer SDA2 headphone dac/amp and CXA81. The difference was really just big enough for me to be able to here it but for sure not worth the 2300 euro more. Well if someone has it looks like we got ourselves really good transport for not so much money. But anyway i will still look just from the desire for a new toy and better sound but after the comparation i am afraid that the chance for it is small to find it for a still normal price.

This is my second unit which I received in December of 2019. It sounds superb; however, whatever quirks happen - always happen - in the "Random Mode." Now, at the beginning of September, '22, it does not respond to the remote on occasions; either I have to engage the CXC's buttons or shut the untie off from the CXC. Sometimes, I have to try a few times before the CXC;s buttons react. Once, I reboot the CXC, it is perfectly fine. While I am happy with it - sonically - its reliability is questionable and I can honestly write: I would not buy another one - particularly, at $699.99 when I paid $397.00 in 2018 for the first CXC. I would probably buy the Yamaha 1000 CD Player for about a $1,000.00?
