AXA25 is an integrated amplifier built in a classic, fuss-free style. Its slim symmetrical design offers great value and functionality for those looking for a straight-forward solution. A 3.5mm aux input on the front face makes connecting compatible devices a doddle. While four pairs of analogue RCA inputs on the rear mean AXA25’s pretty versatile too.
Your Journey into Sound
AXA25 is an amp that lets you listen to music and appreciate how it’s been recorded. You’ll hear detail in familiar tunes that’s previously passed you by. It’s because hi-fi amps, like AXA25, are designed to take a signal from a source (like a CD player), amplify it and then output it to your choice of speakers.
Setting the Tone
With separate bass and treble controls, you can fine-tune AXA25’s sound to suit your taste, speakers, and the dynamics of smaller sized rooms. The centrally located volume dial, gives you finger-tip control over the 25 watts per channel of power at your disposal.
Wired for Sound
AXA25 has no less than 4 pairs of RCA inputs, a pair of recording outputs and a rear USB socket for technical upgrades. While hi-fi quality speaker binding posts (connectors) mean that thick cable connects securely for an authentic sound – you can even use banana plugs, should you wish.
Designed for Life
As with the rest of the AX Series, AXA25 shares our house-style of Lunar Grey minimalist fascia, black steel cabinet and ‘floating’ base. This timeless look allows for an upgrade path through our range. A slim build, in the classic 430mm hi-fi width, also means that AXA25 can easily slot into a much-loved system.

When received, volume knob was rubbing slightly against front panel. I pulled on the knob lightly to fix. Unit has nice sound and decent power for 25 watts.

Exactly what it claims to be
Compact, well built, looks nice, sounds great. The only small complaint that I have is that it shuts off when it doesn’t be sense a signal, which is an irritant if you just want to use it as a Bluetooth amplifier. I have to walk over to it and turn it on when I want to listen to tunes, but that is a minor criticism.

An excellent amplifier with one annoying feature
I bought this AXA-25 amplifier to match the AXC-35 CD player I had previously purchased. They both serve my needs very well and I have no complaints about their sound quality. Both units are also more aesthetically pleasing than most modern stereo equipment. I have rated the amplifier four stars instead of five because it is impossible to tell visually if it is turned on or in a pointless "standby mode." The LED on the power button is constantly on when the unit is plugged in. It is unfortunate to see such a useless and annoying feature on an otherwise excellent product. I installed a power strip with individual switches for each outlet on the wall next to my stereo setup so I can easily turn both the amplifier and the CD player (which also has this standby mode) completely off when I'm not using them. Both units also have an "automatic power down" feature which is as pointless as standby mode but which fortunately can be turned off. I fail to see what is wrong with simple on/off switches. Despite that little problem (which others may find less annoying than I do), the AXA-25 offers great value for its rather low cost.

I manage a hifi shop with huge amounts of inventory and integrated amps from $500 to $30k. I bought this amp to see what the lowest price a/b can do and I’m impressed! It clearly shaves off the leading edge of notes and lacks resolution BUT…. It’s really listenable and way more than those class D amps reviewed in Audio Science Review. That being said, this amp is no where near as resolves as the Yamaha AS801. Not close. Yet the Yamaha could get a little too excited and I find the SXA25 midband tone ( not resolution) and dynamics ti be more natural. I like this amp, I can get behind it as easily as much more expensive ones and find myself grooving along to music even if the soundstage and resolution are not fully fleshed out. It’s GREAT for $220!!! Wow! I’m keeping it.
