At the heart of CXA61 beats a Class AB power amplifier stage with optimised capacitor values. It takes the musicality of Class A and blends it with the efficiency of Class B. Thanks to its toroidal transformer, CXA61 delivers 60 watts of pure power per channel. As well as digital optical and coaxial connections, it features plenty of stereo analogue inputs alongside wireless hi-res connectivity via Bluetooth aptX HD – perfect for sources like an Alva ST turntable. Solid piece of kit. Despite the lack of tone/bass controls, the sound is always clear, precise and just right. Paired with Fyne speakers, I'm pickup new sounds in music cd's I've had for 20-odd years. The Bluetooth range is limited to about 12 metres.

You just can’t go wrong with this piece. The sound is full and lush with detail and great imagining. No listener fatigue. Build quality is excellent. Currently using with an old pair of Heybrook Point Fives. Opened them up like I’ve never heard. Can only dream what this amp would do with a really good bookshelf/stand mount speaker. Five stars all the way.
