At the heart of CXA61 beats a Class AB power amplifier stage with optimised capacitor values. It takes the musicality of Class A and blends it with the efficiency of Class B. Thanks to its toroidal transformer, CXA61 delivers 60 watts of pure power per channel. As well as digital optical and coaxial connections, it features plenty of stereo analogue inputs alongside wireless hi-res connectivity via Bluetooth aptX HD – perfect for sources like an Alva ST turntable. I’d been pondering this purchase for a while then finally made the decision. No regrets. Out of the box working in minutes. Looks absolutely beautiful and sounds fantastic. I was smiling ear to ear as the sound filled the lounge at just quarter volume. Love Cambridge Audio.

Still getting used to the improvement in sound to my existing cxnv2, the amp improved the clarity of my Roon system as well as the BBC channels that I habitually listen to. I have a Rel sub attached to the amp having a dedicated output for this on the amp is very useful.

Simply stunning
Habe the CXA 61 paired with some Elac Unifi 2.0s. The sound is simply stunning. Immervise, deep, and the vocals are such that you thing the person is sitting across from you. In my 60s, and I've been purchasing stereo equipment since I was in my mid teens. I believe I've reached nirvana.
