Generally the digital to analogue converter found in typical digital devices is pretty poor and won’t extract the truest quality of audio from your sources. The DacMagic 100 works by taking a direct digital audio signal from your device to bypass its soundcard or DAC. It then digitally processes the audio signal using our custom designed technology, dramatically improving sound quality and reducing distortion. This results in greater detail, sparkling clarity and a deeper scale to all of your audio.
COMPATIBILITY
DacMagic 100 is very flexible and supports virtually all digital file formats including the very highest quality 24-bit studio master or lossless quality audio files stored on your computer. With three different digital connectivity options and the ability to connect four devices concurrently, DacMagic 100 is a true digital music enhancement hub. Set-up is totally intuitive, allowing you to begin enjoying better quality audio in minutes.

Like all our products, the DacMagic 100 was custom developed from the ground-up by our design team at our headquarters in the heart of London. A great DAC - Excellent value and sound
A great sounding DAC and a design classic. Yes it's old now, but it's just as good as newer DACs with more recent DAC chips. Easily competes with (and betters) DACs two to three times more expensive.

This little DAC has one job and one job only: to convert a digital audio stream into an analog signal, and it does so stunningly.
The design and layout of this little unit is perfect, there's nothing I would change about it. It's got an asynchronous USB interface for flawless audio from any computer, two digital coaxial inputs as well as one optical, a simple on/off switch and a button for selecting your desired source. The "incoming sample rate" indicators are a very nice touch as well.
I am rediscovering my entire CD collection with this little unit!

A wonderfully agile and detailed DAC that should enhance the performance of any sub-£600 CD player with a digital output connection. The only possible caveat would be to avoid partnering with too lean sounding an amplifier; it works exceptionally well for me with a NAD C 326BEE. Build quality and user experience are first-class.
