Sonic Balance

Fixed Line-out Mode
If you wish to connect the Edge NQ to an integrated amplifier rather than a power amplifier, the streaming functionality can be used independently of the preamplifier. The preamplifier can be disabled via the dedicated Edge app for iOS and Android.

Great sound and top notch build for the price
Bought my NQ and W about 4 months ago. It is very analytical and poor recordings and highly compressed internet radio are shown no mercy.
Only issue is the heat generated by the Edge W. The units have to be operated side by side or the streamer stage shuts down after extended use. No damage though.
Remote control is nicely constructed but pretty useless and the ARC compatibility with my LG eARC TV doesn't work well. Lets have an upgrade to eARC soonest please.

Demoed at a dealer place full of expectation since it have all the bell and whistle.
Totally disappointed with the sound when pairing with the matching power amp. Very boring presentation to be exact and I have to demand saleman to swap it out for something else. Very unusual for a long time where I have to demand for change. It just that bad.

Ich besitze den Edge NQ seit ca. einem Jahr und bin sehr zufrieden. Der Klang ist ausgesprochen gut und sehr natürlich. Man sitzt mitten in der Musik.
Ein Gerät das alles mögliche streamen kann. Mit Stream Magic wurde auch die Remote App wesentlich verbessert. Cambridge hat hier wirklich an alles gedacht!
Qobuz, Tidal und Spotyfy etc. Ich persönlich arbeite mit Qobuz und bin ausgesprochen zufrieden mit der Integration. Alle nur erdenklichen Anschlüsse sind vorhanden, inkl. XLR Anschlüsse ( Ein- und Ausgänge). Ich würde sogar sagen, eine "Eier legende Wollmilchsau". Das Herz einer perfekten Hi-fi-Anlage. Ich brauche den Edge NQ mit Aktivboxen und bin von der Klangqualität des Vorverstärkers echt begeistert. Seid der Edge NQ auch noch Roon ready ist bin ich vollkommen happy!! Er streamt und streamt einfach alles............

I bought this NQ about 9 months ago. I'm not happy with it. It gave a little better sound stage than my former DAC but that's all. Very analytical. Not at all the usual English musical 'sound'. Even ice cold, without any music emotion. Also lots of softwareproblems. Remote is totally useless. It even lacks a digital out ! The digital in only works +/- good at 96kHz. For the rest: BUGS BUGS BUGS. Even jitter, drop outs, ... ! 100% dissapointing device.
