Sonic Balance

Fixed Line-out Mode
If you wish to connect the Edge NQ to an integrated amplifier rather than a power amplifier, the streaming functionality can be used independently of the preamplifier. The preamplifier can be disabled via the dedicated Edge app for iOS and Android.

Worthless
Both HDMI ARC and Optical in do not work properly
I have the HDMI ARC input connected to a Samsung TV with a brand new HDMI cable which worked fine with previous streamer. The Samsung can’t even seem to recognize the Edge NQ - HDMI ARC is dead on arrival. (The TV is indeed configured to send PCM stereo signal only)
I tried then switching to use optical in, via both D1 and D2, and two different optical cables. Every combination experiences blips, hiccups and audio drop-outs - it is unbearable.
The Edge app refers you to the StreamMagic app, and neither one can seem to play an album
without stopping on every song.And these are just the bugs and issues found in the first few hours. Not worth the price!

Ausnahme Streamer und Preis Leistung Sieger !
Ich habe den Edge NQ vor einen Monat gekauft und vorher ausführlich mit andereren namenhaften und teils teureren Streamern verglichen. Das Ergebnis war das ich mich für den Edge NQ entschieden habe. Der Klang war einfach fantastisch in Verbindung mit einer Bryston 4B3 und Dynaudio Spezial Forty. Ich habe noch nie so gut Musik gehört. Die App könnte noch etwas besser mit Tidal funktionieren. Ein AV Bypass mit Fix Pegel wäre auch noch super (wie Naim). Dann wäre er für mich perfekt.

I bought this 9 monts ago. Already from day 1 my NQ gave problems. I sent all of my complaints to my dealer: not any positieve response. I regret biying the Edge NQ. To many softwareproblems. Still now every day. Digitial input doens't work. Suddenly the music won't switch between Qobus and Spotify, .....
