      Fixed Line-out Mode

      If you wish to connect the Edge NQ to an integrated amplifier rather than a power amplifier, the streaming functionality can be used independently of the preamplifier. The preamplifier can be disabled via the dedicated Edge app for iOS and Android.

      Unfortunately there is a 'show stopper' for me

      I have not purchased one but spent a long time listening to it at my local CA dealer.
      Excellent in all respects. I particularly like that it has a USB 'audio input' which the main UK rival's (you know who they are!) network products do not have.

      Note that CA products are usually my 'go to' for most items,

      However, I have a Stream Magic V1 and soon after the V2 appeared all V1 software upgrades stopped. So there was no upgrade for Tidal (which I now use a lot).
      Thus I am wary of buying this or any other CA products that might benefit from software upgades after the product itself had become outdated by newer versions. o

      Hervorragender PreAmp mit Networkplayer (und ich hatte schon einige).
      Endlich einmal eine durchdachte Player-App.
      Und auch hier ein besonders ausgewöhnliches Design (brilliant 5 *++).
      Jetzt fehlt nur noch ein passender CD-Player im gleichen Design :-)

      Great device but without integrated qobuz

      first-class high end pre-amp that sounds great.
      but without integrated qobuz, that's not the reason why 3 stars.
      and chromcast is not really an alternative.
