Compact Sub. Full Bodied Sound
More compact than other subwoofers in its class, Minx X301 packs a hefty 300W bass punch. Its active amplifier offers gain (volume), phase and crossover control for full integration into a complete Minx system.
Finished in a special gloss black or white lacquer, the X301 is the perfect match for home cinema systems. It’s small enough to hide in a corner, but attractive enough to leave on display.
300 Watts of Power
The most potent Minx subwoofer, X301 delivers 300 Watts of power which means it’s loud enough to add impressive bass to AV systems in medium to larger sized rooms. The 8” (200mm) powered driver adds full, rich and detailed lower frequency sounds – bringing drama to film soundtracks.
Innovative Drivers
Minx X301 has an 8” (200mm) Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) in addition to its primary powered driver. This means the subwoofer doesn’t require an open box or enormous cabinet to give great bass. Instead, X301 produces a rich, warm bass from within its relatively modest proportions.
Bass Control
Minx X301 features a range of intuitive controls like volume, phase and crossover frequency, to enable you to place it anywhere in the room and fine-tune it with other Minx speakers in your system.
Intelligent Power
Our software engineers have designed a sophisticated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to provide real-time control of equalisation and dynamic range. This allows Minx X301 to handle more power and play louder than our previous subwoofers – resulting in a tighter bass and less distortion at high volumes.
Turns on Like Magic
Minx 301’s auto-on mode automatically powers up the unit when it detects an incoming audio signal. This means you don’t have to fiddle around to switch it on, nor worry about turning it off when the film you’re watching has finished.

Understated design ensures that no matter your interior design taste, Minx X301 is always right at home. Finished in either high-gloss black or white, X301 is beautifully subtle and unobtrusive. Great little thing...thumbs up!
I've been thinking about getting a sub for quite awhile, and after reading various reviews and forums about what a good sub can bring, I bought the X301 (arrived two days ago). Set up was a lot easier than I'd feared (got lucky with placement too, I think), back panel is *easy* to use. The Minx has brought an added depth, body & sense of space to my records that is most enjoyable - I was very happy before with my Linn/Naim/B&W system, but this little thing is the icing on the cake!

Solution to long standing problem
I’m on a path to improve the sound in our house, building on some 40 year old Linn Kans. First step was a CXA81 to replace old defunct NAD 3020 which was always underpowered. Second was good streaming source through Intel Nuc. Left with a sense of not enough bass in the mix, which has always been my impression of the Kans. While this was fine in a student flat, needed upgrade. The Minx 301 is fab - solves that problem well. The Kans are super clear in the mid and high range, but just needed some support. Happy customer! Now looking at relative merits of Tidal and Qobuz. Later seems better for my tastes. What to do with all the CDs?

I thought my speakers were just fine, after getting involved in a discussion about subwoofers I decided to give one a try. A saving of £100 helped.
A big wow straight off the bat, I find the improvement in TV via Arc excellent it has helped with speech as I have Menieres and often missed loads of speech . The improvement didn't stop there and music just has that little more.
